It’s time! The Call of Duty® 4: Modern Warfare™ Variety Map Pack is available now for download through the PLAYSTATION®Network. To celebrate the launch, Infinityward is hosting a Double XP Weekend, where players can earn twice as many experience points as they the new Variety Map Pack playlists on the new multiplayer maps starting at 12:01 GMT, Friday, April 25 through 11:59 PDT, Sunday, April 27 – although in all reality it’ll probably stop around Monday morning or so.
Heads up for international users purchasing the Variety Map Pack for the PS3. The Variety Map Pack is Region Locked, which means that you MUST purchase the version of the map pack which is compatible with the version of the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare game disc that you have.
Additionally, the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year Edition for the PLAYSTATION 3 system will ship to North American retailers on May 6 which includes a token to access the new multiplayer maps featured in the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Variety Map Pack.
Why would the map pack be region locked? I live in the United Arab Emirates and I downloaded the EU version of the map pack and my disc is i think USA..Why would they do something so stupid and lock it? Now i payed for nothing…

Good question. But a little too late since you’ve already downloaded. They should have made this known much earlier rather than on the day of release. Sometimes, Infinitywards is such an idiotic company.

Yah it kind of sucks, but no distractions means good grades, and i can’t wait 2 get it back… ps3 is like a drug… trust get rid of ur ps3 and see how long u can last. not really bothered about mgs but can’t wait 4 haze… getting my m8 2 buy gta4 on wednesday, even though i can’t play it for a month or so…. now that is commitment

I’m disappointed with Grand Theft Auto IV Multiplayer. The single player game itself is good, but the Multiplayer is weak. Lets give it a few more days.
i need to get a copy og GTA IV .. look really fun.. and the multiplayer should be so u can free roam with ur friends and do what the hell ever.. and if u want do some missions.. not THAT would be the shit
