Activision, the game publisher of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 proudly announce that they’ve sold approximately 4.7 million copies of the game in US and Europe on day-one! According to the press release, it states - “Most Anticipated Game of the Year Becomes Biggest Entertainment Launch in History”. It’s said that for a game to be profitable – it has to cross the 1 million copies mark. For comparison, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – a PlayStation 3 exclusive title only sold 537,000 copies in the entire month of October. Note: Modern Warfare 2 is cross platform.
That is an amazing figure for one day. It could be the worlds best selling game yet. The current best selling game is Super Mario Bros selling over 15 million. Then again Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare come close with 13.5 million. http://www.ppngames.tk
