Blu-ray: The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight Smashes UK Blu-ray Records

The first numbers are in, and the Blu-ray release of Warner Brothers ‘The Dark Knight’ sold 107,730 copies on its first day of release in the UK, representing 21% of total sales for the title. Last month, the total number of Blu-ray Discs sold in the UK was 463,000, making this one day record-breaking gross that much more impressive. Lavinia Carey, director general of the British Video Association, commented, “Since Blu-ray was adopted as a high definition format, sales have gone from strength to strength. The promising sales of Blu-ray discs demonstrate that increasingly more people are recognizing the substantial increase in quality that Blu-ray provides.” ‘The Dark Knight’ is being released today in the US, and is expected to break many records state-side as well.

Are you ordering a copy? Is Amazon UK a better place to shop than Amazon US? I am very tempted to get this copy….

There is a great level pixalation for LBP – try it out! The fun with most LBP online plays is this – 5 minutes loading, 15 minutes laughter & admiration (how they do this!?). I have got no Wii but I think this is what casual gaming is all about.

But you hv Wii, and will be in a better position to talk about casual gaming. To me, it is just something I could run in, have relaxing fun for a while, and have fond memories of the cuteness.

Oh Merry X’mas – I bet you will be playing games all through!

This time around. The US version is better because it comes with 3-discs instead of 2 in the UK. The 3rd disc is a Digital Copy. I saw the Asian version at LowYat Plaza just now. Priced at RM149 but I can get it for RM110. Not gonna. Will get the US version instead.

I have mixed feeling about the Wii. It has been a year since the last time I actually switched it on, let alone playing with it. I think I still have my Super Mario Galaxy in it. Which I have yet to complete. So, I can’t really comment about casual gaming for home consoles. But I do agree, I prefer the DS compared to PSP because I can pick up a game, play it for 5 mins and put it back. At home, I’d rather spend time with my other non-casual gaming games. But that said, Super Mario Galaxy was amazing. I got distracted with Call Of Duty and hence I didn’t finish it. I will definitely make a point to finish it – someday.

Yeah. Merry Xmas to you too. The tree is up. But I don’t feel a thing. Maybe because this year I will be staying home. Usually, I will be away somewhere. This year, just gonna stay put. How sad.
