Playstation 3: Firmware 2.60 Is Out

Firmware 2.60 is out. If you have not downloaded it, you can click here to do so. There are unconfirmed reports in the local Call Of Duty forums saying online multiplayer is smooth sailing once again after the update. For the last couple of months, especially since 2.50 firmware update – online connections with servers went berserk. Its almost impossible to search for a lobby full of players and even if you do get enough people, the game will disconnect after each game.  Main features of this update include a Photo Gallery, Divx 3.11 support, Safe Mode, Blu-Ray Disc Theme Support, HDD Data can be accessed and deleted in-game, 3-D Secure Support and Improved System Stabilty. I don’t care for any of these so called new features! I just want my online multiplayer back to how it used to be before the screw up.

Maybe its wise to wait a couple of days before upgrading. But I’ve upgraded and the online multiplayer for Call Of Duty 4 is smooth. No regrets. At last, Sony has fixed its online side of things before Killzone 2 hits next month.
