Skype has introduced a new Unlimited Plan for US$6 a month to over 40 countries. Subscriptions for more than 40 destinations are now available: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, Columbia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guam, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, and United Kingdom. Great list, only problem – you can only call landlines but not mobile phones. Doh!

    They already had some kinda unlimited plan before didn’t they i’m pretty sure. Though i think it sucks how mobiles are not included. Do you know the reason why mobile phone calls are so expensive and also why are they always left our of all the awesome deals. It makes these awesome deals no so awesome =(

    They might have, but this, is only for US$6 a month. So, its really dirt cheap really. Especially for those in long distance relationships. Its a steal. But for folks like me, who doesn’t have that many friends abroad – its pretty much useless. Cuz I can see and talk to my friends via Instant Messenger. There’s no need to call a landline when that person could very well be sitting in front of a computer at home anyway. So, its really disappointing that you can’t call a mobile instead. I am sure there are some people out there who would find this package useful, guess we are not the target audience. Plain and simple.
