Here are some interesting info I found on the Airbus A380 . As of 2009, there are 16 Airbus A380 in the world. These are owned by Singapore Airlines, Emirates and Qantas. Singapore Airlines has a total of 8 Airbus A380 that operates daily flights to Sydney, Tokyo and Paris with double daily flights to London. The airline will commence a daily flight utilizing the aircraft to Hong Kong from 9th July 2009. On 25 October 2007, the first commercial A380 service, flight number SQ 380, flew 455 passengers from Singapore to Sydney. In February 2009, the 1st millionth A380 passenger flying with Singapore Airlines was recorded and by May 2009 – it´s reported that A380 has carried 1.5 million passengers during 41 thousand flight hours and 4200 flights. The A380 cruising speed is Mach 0.85 (about 900 km/h or 560 mph) and provides seating for 525 people in a typical three-class configuration.
