Sony VRD-MC6 DVDirect

If you have a Camcorder, you’ll dread the last bit of the entire process. Which is transferring your videos from your Camcorder to your computer and have it copied and played on a regular DVD player. From September 2009, Sony will be releasing the US$230 VRD-MC6 DVDirect for a painless way to archive and share your videos. No computer required. Just plug, press record and play. No details if it will feature basic video crossfade effects, but still – pretty neat to be able to burn AVCHD DVD that plays back in HD 1080i quality on compatible Blu-ray drives like the PS3.

Hey that’s really cool. That’s not bad a price. Maybe i’ll start saving and buy one for Candy for christmas. Does the recorder allow photos to be copied from camera to dvd/cd as well?

Emmmm, it should be able to. Don’t see any reasons why it shouldn’t. But I wouldn’t be advising you on getting one. Portable drives are not usually strong on reliability ….
