Sony Ericsson: Going Android?

It takes a lot for a market leader like Sony Ericsson to say – our user interface suxx and we are going with Android for our next touchscreen smartphone. This is a rumored SE Android smartphone code-named Rachael with 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Snapdragon 1Ghz processor, an 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus, 3D acceleration, 3.5-millimeter headphone jack, multi-touch screen & interface with widgets heavily oriented to social networks like Facebook and Twitter. If this is the real deal – HTC Hero has a worthy contender at hand. FIGHT! (screw the iPhone – for now)

Yeah, this is a nice one. Form factor wise, it’s even nicer than the HTC Hero. No details available at the moment. But I guess it will hover around US$600?
