Canon G11 Coming In October

The lifespan of a point-and-shoot camera is getting shorter each year. Take the Canon G-series for instance, hardware updates seem to be an annual event. It sucks to be a G10 owner. Look at Lumix LX3 or Leica D-Lux 4 for instance, they don’t get obsolete as fast and usually get updated only in 2 to 3 year’s time. The G11 features a 10 megapixel sensor, 2.8-inch vari-angle LCD, 5x optical zoom, RAW support, a hotshoe and an MSRP of $499.99 when it arrives in October.
