Snow Leopard, Finally

I don’t understand why it was so hard to get a copy of Snow Leopard in KL. Finally, got myself one today after trying my luck for a few times. Time to slot in the disc and begin my 45 mins upgrade process. Hope I will not encounter any of those horrific upgrade stories reported online. Fingers crossed. Here goes!

Update: The upgrade went smoothly. Took about 45 mins to complete. Upon installation and check, there’s a newer version available for download – 10.6.1. Process was fairly simple and thank goodness I didn’t encounter those nasty hiccups reported on tech blogs.

Does it feel and look different? Nope. Can’t say that I notice anything different. Will explore the new features here. But maybe Safari does feel much faster, or maybe it’s just my imagination. Oh well.

Tips: To activate Chinese character input – press Control+Shift+Space. Note that this will only work with Multi-touch Trackpad on MacBooks (Pro/Air).

Me getting mine in a few more hours…. got a call from Machines at Sunway last nite and I better be fast. The easiest way perhaps is to buy online, but you have to pay RM30 shipping costs!

Will be only working on the installation much much later….

Yeah, that was why I refused to get it from the online store. Its kinda ridiculous, seems like every damn thing these days is a mad rush to purchase. The iPhone 3GS, Olympus EP-1, Snow Leopard etc …. what recession?
