Nintendo: Wii Speak, FAILED?

Remember this? The Wii Speak from Nintendo. It’s basically a microphone that sits atop the sensor bar and picks up the conversation of everyone in the room to encourage a more inclusive experience. Released together with Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii back in November 16, 2008. It’s been almost a year, there are only 4 games that supports this device – Animal Crossing: City Folk, Endless Ocean 2, NHL 2K10 and The Conduit. Another case of great idea with poor execution from Nintendo? Question is, why isn’t games from Nintendo itself such as Smash Bros. Brawl and the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. Wii support this device? Both are online capable games – hmmmm.
