Your American Idols, Transformed

It’s been a good couple of months since we saw them battling for the title on American Idol. Since then, they’ve been busy in the recording studio and now ready to release their debut album come November 2009. With a little help from the studio, here’s how they’ve transformed.

Kris Allen, the winner. Self titled debut album will be released on November 17th 2009. How’s the pre-orders doing?’s best sellers chart does not fully reflect actual performance, but it’s pretty indicative on one’s popularity. Kris’s album is currently at no. 86 on the Best Sellers In Music chart. How bout Adam Lambert?

Adam Lambert, his popularity will not be stopped by the runner-up title. His debut album entitled For Your Entertainment to be released under RCA label is currently in the Top 5 of the same chart where Kris Allen is in a distant and lonely no. 86. For those who are not familiar, RCA is the record label for artistes like Foo Fighters, Daughtry, David Cook, Dave Matthews Band, Christina Aguilera and so on.

Allison Iraheta’s album entitled Just Like You will be coming 1st December 2009. She is in the same record label as Kris Allen, under Jive. She’s not even in the Top 100 charts. I hope she will do well, but with such strong resemblance to Avril Lavigne – am worried she might hit an identity crisis in an industry where everyone is fighting to stand-out.

So, Kris Allen is the boy-next-door with a forgettable cover. Adam Lambert stayed true to his style and Allison Iraheta turned into an Avril Lavigne wannabe. Who will sell more records? My money is on Adam.
