How Bout Watching Some LiveTV On Your iPhone?

According to what I’ve read so far on, the maker of the EyeTV app that enables LiveTV over 3G cellular network – you won’t be needing additional hardware attachments to your iPhone to enable this feature. Unlike in Japan, watching live tv on an iPhone requires the SEG Clip iPhone TV Tuner with a WiFi only limitation. The EyeTV App costs US$4.99 in the Apple App Store while the Live3G App is free. Definitely a great concept, but with battery consumption and the fact that I prefer my TV pre-recorded – this is not an App I would go gaga over with. Still, great concept. Power to you, elgato.

Good concept… but for sustainability all the rest have to be in place… battery life, etc

Yeah, battery life on the 3GS suxs! But for a 30 min commute, still ok. Just that, we can forget about such services to be made available locally. I couldn’t be bothered watching local tv. Astro should really consider marketing this to all the iPhone and smartphone users here. Not huge, but I think they might be demand if the price is right.
