PlayStation 3: Red/Blue DS3

The power of packaging. Looking at these controllers, I know I don’t need them but somehow I so want them. I can’t decide which I want, all I know is I just want them. For whatever heck for, I will figure that out later.

CoD: MW2 – 43D, 23H, 38M

Honestly, from the games pictured above – only 2 will make it to my collection. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Hardened Edition) and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. At the time of writing, there are 43 days, 23 hours, 38 mins and 10 secs to the release of Modern Warfare 2. Don’t be silly, I didn’t count them – just quoting counter on Amazon’s page. I’ve got it all planned out. To avoid getting YloD on my Playstation 3 – I’ll be placing both my units side by side. This way, when one overheats – I’ll just switch to the next machine. The things I would do for Call Of Duty, sigh. Here’s a glimpse of what’s coming our way on the Playstation platform:

22 Sep – Katamari Forever

29 Sep – Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

13 Oct – Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

27 Oct – Ratchet & Clanks: A Crack In Time

27 Oct – Tekken 6

03 Nov – Lego Rock Band

10 Nov – Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

10 Nov – God Of War: Collection

17 Nov – Assassin’s Creed II

17 Nov – Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues

29 Dec – Gran Turismo 5

01 Jan – Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Wii: Tennis Fever

Remember I was saying Virtua Tennis 2009 was a great tennis game on the Nintendo Wii? Turn out that Grand Slam Tennis is even better! Control wise. With Wii MotionPlus – your angle and speed affects the ball’s direction. While Virtua Tennis, you gotta rely on the directional bar above your character’s head whenever the ball is near. Between Virtua Tennis 2009 and Grand Slam Tennis – the latter win hands-down. Have not had the chance to try out the New Play Control Mario Power Tennis – but it’s definitely a more fun and colorful version of the genre. Wii tennis bug love all, service over.

Wii: Virtua Tennis 2009 Rocks!

This game rocks with Wii MotionPlus. The 1 to 1 accuracy control with no delay claim is true. It’s freaking amazing. You tilt, slice, lop and smash with perfect accuracy. I am so loving this game. It’s the real tennis game that I’ve been waiting for. Wii Sports Tennis was fun but this is the real deal. My only complain, WiiMote losing connection with the Wii quite frequently. Lost out a couple of “easy” points because I had to reconnect the WiiMote. Gotta google if others are facing similar problems. This happen to me on Wii Sports Resort as well – but not as frequently.

DJ Hero Box: Sexy!

DJ Hero Bundled with Turntable. I am liking the boxart very much. I am not sure if I have the space required to play this game – but I want it nonetheless. I’ll figured it out somehow. Coming on October 27th 2009 for US$119.99 – spin and scratch more than 100 songs into unique mixes with online multiplayer co-op and competitive modes including DJ vs. DJ, DJ + DJ and DJ + Guitar.

Monster Hunter 3 + Wii Kuro

The Japanese love Monster Hunter. The Japanese love the Nintendo Wii. The Japanese will get Monster Hunter 3 bundled with the new Wii Kuro. The non-Japanese goes green in jealousy. It’s a marketing ploy by Nintendo to instill Japanese superiority into your bended non-Japanese head. Don’t give in. Run Neo. Run!

Wii Gaming Straight Off A SD Card

I’m not sure if Nintendo is forward thinking or it’s just by the stroke of luck – that prices of SD cards are tumbling and capacity are getting bigger. At last, the Nintendo Wii will have storage capacity exceeding the original Xbox360 and Playstation 3. And starting with Guitar Hero 5 – Nintendo will be allowing streaming of contents from the SD card slot. This means that if you want to download in-game content – like songs for Guitar Hero – you can just store them on an SD card, leave it in the Wii, and the game can load the data straight off it. I’m wondering what the game pirates are thinking right now. (no prize for guessing)
