Sesame Street, Coming To A Console Near You

Sunny Day Sweepin’ the clouds away. On my way to where the air is sweet. Can you tell me how to get, How to get to Sesame Street? Ok, if you know those words as well, you’re an old fart – like me. Which means, you would somehow feel a little tingling in your heart to know that Warner Bros. will be working with Sesame Workshop to develop games for current generation consoles. Yay! (enough with FPS! Screw Call Of Duty! I want some BigBird and Cookie Monster Hunter!)

Apple App Store: iBloom

iBloom, a free game from the App Store has everything from nice graphics to great garden tending chores for that green finger spirit in you. Well, at least that’s what the intro text would want me to believe. The thing is, it doesn’t even start on my iPhone 3GS. Crashes the minute you click on the game icon. I understand that it’s a free game, but at least make it work. Is that too much to ask? Or am I getting the gaming concept wrong here?

Legend of Zelda, Spirit Tracks

With every new Zelda game, I will say to myself – this time I’m gonna finish the game. But of coz, it never happens. I think this is due to my V-ADD, Videogame Attention Deficit Disorder. There are only a handful of games that I completed and the last two that got me crazy was UnBlock Me (iPhone) and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PlayStation 3) which I completed in about 5-hours in one sitting. Major titles like Killzone 2, Resistance 2 and Uncharted 2 – all aborted at the first few stages of Level 1. So, have you completed any games lately?

App Store: Beat It! By Glu Mobile

This is the best US$2.99 I’ve spent on games for my iPhone todate. Sure, I love The Treasure of Montezuma 2 and Unblock Me, the 2 games which kept me entertained when I’m bored. Now, Beat It! by Glu Mobile is my current fav being the most polished, best sounding, most graphically stylish game on a portable gaming device yet.

For best experience, put on a headphone. I hooked it up with my Technics headphones and it was thumping. The basics of the game is simple, you listen to a beat with all these instruments in the background, then you’re to fill in these boxes on the track intune with the beat you heard earlier. If you get all the spots correct – you win. Sound simple enough? Not really. At one stage, it has so many different instruments going – it took me about 11 mins before I cleared that stage. Been playing it almost an hour before taking a break from it. It’s really addictive. Check out the demo video after the break. You gotta see this game in action. Beautiful!

Mario In-The-Flesh

500x_mm_nude

Ever wondered how Mario looks like without his …. ermmmm … outfit? Now you know. I’m sure some of you would rather choose not to have seen this, ever. Too late. You’ll forever be remembering this everytime you play a Mario game.

World Of Warcraft: Making A Living

wow-living

I have been told, that if you’re a full time World Of Warcraft gamer, you can actually make a decent living selling weapons and gold from the game. The most recent was a guy making RM30,000 a month selling some armor shit or something. In China, they even hire employees just to play these games and the company will sell the weapons acquired. Such stories are usually told by someone who have heard it from another person. I am intrigued. If only I can make money from playing Call Of Duty 4, then I think I’ll be rich.
